Automated conveyor lines are the general category of flow-line equipment used to move materials and products in production. As mechanical systems that transport goods from one point to another, hệ thống băng tải pallet play an essential role in modern manufacturing.
Vitrans Tự động hóa, a leading conveyor-system manufacturer with more than 10 years of R&D and manufacturing experience in pallet conveying, produces and sells automated conveying equipment to deliver professional, efficient, intelligent and reliable solutions. We have long served new energy, electronics manufacturing, automotive parts, medical devices and semiconductors, maintaining ongoing cooperation with leading names including CATL, EVE Energy, Gotion High-Tech, Sunwoda, Geely and Changan.
Built on field experience accumulated project by project, our self-developed automated automotive motor assembly line opens up new possibilities for smart manufacturing in new-energy vehicles.

1. The Bottlenecks Facing Automotive Motor Assembly Lines
As the NEV market keeps expanding, orders for motors — a core component — continue to climb. Talking to many motor makers, the same feeling comes up repeatedly: orders arrive, but the line cannot keep up. Many legacy lines still rely on heavy manual assembly. When capacity ramps up or product specs update, problems surface one after another and gradually become the bottleneck holding the factory back.
After numerous client discussions and site surveys, we see three recurring bottlenecks in motor manufacturing:
1. Over-reliance on labor, with a ceiling on capacity. A traditional assembly line often needs 15 or more workers at once. Hiring is hard today, turnover is high, and day-to-day management costs stay elevated. Output depends heavily on worker skill and condition, which makes stable capacity expansion difficult.
2. Poor line flexibility; model changeover is painful. Motor products iterate fast, and orders are frequently small-batch, multi-spec. Under old approaches, every model change means stopping the line to reset jigs and rewrite programs. The whole process takes long, tolerances creep in during tuning, and the line cannot respond quickly to varied order demand.
3. Inconsistent quality with hard-to-trace defects. Fatigue and mood affect manual work, so assembly quality fluctuates and defect rates stay unstable. Worse, data between processes are not connected; once a defect is found, tracing it back to the source station takes a long time, slowing the closed-loop problem resolution.
Vitrans rebuilds the production flow with a modular automation approach, adjusting step by step to actual site conditions to target each pain point and genuinely cut cost while raising efficiency.
2. Project Practice
This solution connects the full chain — PCBA assembly, spot welding, vacuum potting, drying and cooling — into one fully automatic linked line.
- Stable line tact: 15 seconds;
- Online drying section held at 150±10°C for 8 minutes;
- Multi-layer line structure paired with elevators.
The assembly section uses flat belt conveying, while the high-temperature zone is served by a heat-resistant băng tải xích tích lũy. The line covers the transport path from motor assembly stations to gluing and the high-temp furnace, with lifters and loading/unloading robots. Regular assembly stations run on timing belt and flat belt conveyors; inside the 150°C furnace (20-minute hold), a heat-resistant accumulated chain carries transfer to suit the high-temperature condition.
3. Technical Highlights
The advantages concentrate in four areas:
1. High-flexibility full-process automation
Targeting complex motor assembly with heavy manual intervention, we first mapped every process and merged previously scattered manual stations into a continuous automatic flow. After launch, the number of operators dropped noticeably; labor cost and management pressure fell, and the interference of turnover and skill gaps on output and quality was removed.
2. Multi-station vision inspection that puts quality control in practice
Vision inspection modules are installed at key assembly and welding stations to check appearance, dimensions, weld condition and assembly precision online, achieving over 99.9% detection accuracy. Compared with manual visual inspection, vision checks are faster, standards stay uniform, and subtle defects invisible to the eye can be caught. Every inspection record is stored, so quality traceability pulls records directly instead of checking station by station.
3. Modular design for fast changeover
The whole line is split into standardized functional modules; swapping parts or adjusting specs does not require long full-line shutdown and tuning. Where traditional lines take hours — even half a day — to change over, this solution compresses changeover to under 20 minutes, making small-batch, multi-variety orders far easier to absorb.
4. Tact balancing designed in early to keep unlocking efficiency
At the design stage, we logged the cycle time of each process, located bottleneck stations, and merged and re-arranged processes to cut waiting and non-value-added handling. Process planning and equipment selection were optimized together. After delivery, hourly output doubled (+100%) for a clearly visible efficiency gain.

4. Empowering NEV Smart Manufacturing
Within the broader push for smart NEV manufacturing, the value of this line is clear. It supports assembly and online testing of multiple motor specs to meet strict automotive quality standards, and enables flexible multi-model co-production that keeps pace with fast product iteration, helping customers take new orders sooner and seize market opportunities.
Whether a startup running small-batch trials or a large enterprise planning multiple mass-production lines, we customize around floor dimensions, process requirements and order mix, balancing production cost, output efficiency and yield.
Several mass-production lines of this type are already in place and proven through long continuous runs with stable performance and customer-recognized improvements. The design is highly reusable; beyond automotive motors, automotive electronics and consumer electronics with similar assembly/testing needs can reference the same approach to speed their own intelligent transformation.
